Liam made this video for me as a little snapshot of our travels and I loved it so much that I thought I would share it on the Blog! My one warning is that there are a lot of pictures of me so don't feel obligated to watch the whole thing, but there are some pretty cool snapshots of the beautiful places we have been blessed enough to be able to travel to together.

Aloise is standing up!

A fun weekend with Oma!

Aloise clearly had a good weekend with her Oma visiting. They are all dolled up for church after a big day of shopping on Saturday!

Justin and I enjoyed having the company too. We can't wait to see you all soon!

Justin was on the radio!

As some of you already know Justin was on the radio yesterday here in Charlotte. Our local NPR has a discussion with a few Charlottians each month and this month Justin volunteered to be on the program. If you're interested you can listen here.

5 months old!

As you can see, we had fun singing karaoke while we were in Minnesota. Aloise is sitting up pretty well by herself now. She weights 18 lbs and is wearing the 12month size in clothing. She is our big growing girl with wild hair!

Morehead City!

Here are some pictures from our trip to the coast. Aloise is already four months old. She put her feet in a body of water for the first time and she had a great time hanging out with her Oma and Pawpaw. Aunt Mandy and Uncle Cory were professional baby handlers by the end of the week! We all had such a great time.

When we got back from our vacation we took Aloise to get a checkup and she weighs 16lbs 7oz! She is in the 97th percentile. What a big girl we have.

Aloise slept through the night for the 1st time!!

Baby Aloise is growing up! She slept from 9:30pm until 5:30am last night! Maybe it was the froggy pajamas... I did make a big deal about how cute she looked in them. It has a matching bib, but she obviously didn't need that to sleep. I was so excited to get my first full night of sleep in months! Wooo. I don't expect the same tonight, but I do know it is the beginning of a trend. :)



PS - I didn't post a picture of me because my hair looked about like hers! ahahha.

hi everyone...donna and i went to see Xanadu last night on broadway, it's a spoof of the movie that starred olivia newton john, it was hysterical...and the star of the show, cheyenne jackson is huge on broadway, he's still on his roller skates from the show, hence his extra "tallness" - i know that's not a real word...donna and i have a crush on him...donna sent me the picture sideways, i didn't know how to rotate it.....oh well...kerri butler played the lead female role....superb...helga
PS: yes, we're the type that stalk the actors at the stage door afterwards.,.

Someone other than us and Aunt Helga using the blog! Great job Jenny! We'd love to see what's going on in Chapel Hill sometime.

Efforts to convince Diana to participate remain unsuccessful. Her excuses now are: "I suck at taking pictures", "my camera's memory card isn't big enough", and "I don't have anything to take pictures of." If any of you readers out there happen to speak with Diana, maybe you could say something to her about this.

Baby Aloise is Here!!!

Hey All,

Baby Aloise is here! We arrived home from the hospital today around 11:00 AM. She was born on Thursday, March 27, at 9:22 PM after 19 hours of labor. Julie made me turn off the UNC Sweet 16 game against Washington State at halftime in order to push.

Aloise weighed 8 lbs 8 oz at birth; she was 19 inches long, and she has a full head of black hair longer than mine. Both mom and baby are healthy. Julie is tired, but very happy to trade pregnancy for a newborn.

Can't wait for all of you to smother her with love.

New Stroller!!

Check out Justin and our new stroller. Diana, Dana, Cory, and Amanda hooked us up with exactly what we needed. We are so excited to have it and can't wait to put our little baby in it! Justin has already installed the base for the car seat in the car, so we are all set to go to the hospital.


We hope you are all doing well and we'll give you a call when we have the baby.

32 weeks complete!

Howdy!

Just wanted to show you the belly. We are getting there, only 6 to 10 weeks to go! Justin and I are getting very excited to have a little one to enjoy. This month we are taking the birthing classes at the hospital, so it seems quite close.

Julie @ 28 Weeks

Hi again,

The belly is getting big(ger)! Everything is going very well. We finished preparing the nursery... got the furniture painted, got the crib set up, got the baby clothes folded and put in the drawers. There's no toys or sheets yet, but we're working on it. We've done the bare minimum to satiate Julie's nesting instincts for the moment. She officially stops work on January 16th, so she'll have some time to perfect every little detail to her heart's content.

Hammy (a.k.a. Cosmo) is also doing well.
