Trip to Biltmore Estate

Dana & I spent a week in the NC mountains visiting with Justin, Julie and Aloise! We even had time to tour Biltmore Estate and taste some of their Wine!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving and that you're enjoying the holiday season! Liam and I bought our first Christmas tree and I wanted to share a few pictures with you! I've also included a picture from the Halloween party we went to. Surprisingly you can by a Captain America costume in London...who knew? Although I will say when Liam told the guy at the store to not "forget to buy his war bonds" he didn't seem very amused when he told us "wrong country mate"

HAGENBACH TRIP!!!!

Liam and I just returned from our first trip to Hagenbach. We had a wonderful time and were able to meet more family members than I can count! Niagara Falls Trip

FFA friends at the park!

Last weekend we met up with some old FFA friends at the park. Angie Loggains and Tasha Morris were there with their husbands and sons. Their little boys are almost the same age as Aloise, so it makes for a good playdate for the adults and the kids. The kids had so much fun playing ball, sliding, and digging in the dirt (they all ate a little dirt too, just to make sure it was as yucky as we said). The second picture is Aloise giving herself a hand for making it down the big slide all by herself! You can imagine Aloise was dirty and exhausted by the time it was all over with. We had a great time catching up with old friends and seeing just how much fun it is being parents. It was a good time all around and we hope we can do it again soon!

At the Pool!

We went to the pool last weekend and Aloise had a blast! She loves playing at the waterpark and in the shallow pool. She knows how to kick her feet and how to climb out of the pool by herself. She is a water loving girl! Justin had a good time too, as you can see.

Hanging out in Morehead City

Just wanted to put some pictures on here for Aunt Mandy and Helga, who missed our visit to Morehead City. You can see we enjoyed the weather and Aloise loved seeing all the family!

Mother's Day

We went to Daniel Stowe Botanical Gardens for Mother's Day. It was wonderful! The flowers were beautiful and we had a nice time walking around. Aloise loved the water fountains the most, but she did like the "fow-wers." The orchids were amazing, but we couldn't get any pictures of them because is was crowded.

Strawberry Picking!

Last weekend Aloise and Julie went strawberry picking with some friends. We forgot to take the camera with us, but here is a picture of Aloise with the loot. She had a great time even though I thought she was too young. We picnicked afterward with our friends, so it was a great day all together.

Girls Weekend in Cocoa Beach!

What a great time with old high-school friends in Florida! We laid on the beach and enjoyed "catching up" all weekend!

Go Heels Go!

Aloise is watching the game in her Carolina shirt from Aunt Mandy. She doesn't understand the game quite yet, but she knows Daddy and Mommy get excited about it! Hopefully we can keep winning!

Aloise's birthday party

Aloise didn't know what to think of us all singing to her and she forgot how to blow out the candle, but she enjoyed eating the cake! It was a wonderful party and a great day! We all feel very accomplished in surviving the first year.

Owls and Dancing

The word of the day today is "Owl"! Aloise is very excited to show her great grandma Jo the owls in her library book. She also knows what they say "whoo-whoo." After that she did some dancing. All in all it was a fun day.

As you can see Aloise is getting her feet under her! She loves to push this toy all over, but you'll see she has no idea how to turn it around. What a cutie!
