Hey All,
Baby Aloise is here! We arrived home from the hospital today around 11:00 AM. She was born on Thursday, March 27, at 9:22 PM after 19 hours of labor. Julie made me turn off the UNC Sweet 16 game against Washington State at halftime in order to push.
Aloise weighed 8 lbs 8 oz at birth; she was 19 inches long, and she has a full head of black hair longer than mine. Both mom and baby are healthy. Julie is tired, but very happy to trade pregnancy for a newborn.
Can't wait for all of you to smother her with love.

i can't believe y'all are parents! this is really awesome. julie, you look great, by the way. i have this awful image of pregnancy that resembles shrek's wife, fiona, with traces of A1 barbeque sauce all over her mouth and nasty smelling gas...but you didn't fit any of those!

You both look so happy!! I know that you guys must be relieved to finally have her here!
